Photos 1 - 4 - On a recent trip the the Wombat State Forest (6/4/22) i caught what i believe to be a Gnat , it is extremely small so i didn't realize how awesome it looked until the next day when i put it under the microscope . As you can see it has a very unique looking head .
Photos 5- 7 - Just heading off to the sack the other night and a large Mosquito shaped creature sailed past my head up the hall way . I watched it fly up to the ceiling and play hide and go seek with a very small Daddy Long Legs for a bit before heading off to get a container and a chair . Shortly there after it was in the fridge for the night . I was very pleased the next day when I put it under the microscope to see how colorful it was . Some sort of Midge i believe .
Photos 8 - 11 - Another couple of Midges caught here at home 22/9/22 .
Photos 12 - 16 - Making the morning coffee this morning and spotted this dead on the kitchen window sill , i particularly like the transparent abdoman , makes for great photography (10/12/22) .
