When you use the 'NEW TOPIC' button at the top of the main page, make sure you select the correct category where your post should go from the Drop Down Menu. Otherwise ALL New Topics end up in the TAXONOMY Section.
I rediscovered these Bugs in the Wombat State Forest (12/2/22) , i had previously caught some back around 2000 . Both times they were predominantly under concave pieces of wood up off the ground that had been through a forest fire . Being dark brown/black and very slim they take some seeing . This one is quite a large specimen but is still only 1 cm from nose to tail . The Wombat is the only place i have seen this species of Assassin bug , I'm sure they are in other places , i just haven't run in to them . ( 3 photos)
Found another Assassin Bug , similar to the previous one but slightly different , got a few good pics of it . ( 4 photos )
