Well , i may have been a little premature in calling it back at the start of March but i wasn't wrong  ....  Harriet finally laid another Egg Sac on Saturday night (28/4/24) , not up the top in her usual spot but down lower this time . She smashed 6 crickets in about 2 weeks so i was sure something was about to happen . Last time she laid an egg sac in Autumn/Winter she sat on it for 100 days before it hatched , i would expect that to be the case this time around as well  .......  stay tuned for up dates .

19/5/24 :-  Well it's been about three and a half weeks since Harriet layed her egg sac and as usual she hasn't moved from it but last night I turned her container around to check on her and after I turned it back she came around the front and sat in her feeding spot . I tried her on a Mealworm but she wasn't interested so I upsized it to a "Large Meal" with a Moth from outside .... the photo speaks for itself ..... stay tuned for updates .

9/8/24 :- Well Harriet Fans .... not much to report except Harriet has left her egg sac twice in the last 2 weeks and sat in her feeding spot , both times she was presented with a Mealworm and made short work of it . We are out to 103 days so if something is going to happen i would think it would be going to be soon , having said that it has been very cold and she did go 100 days last Winter .... fingers crossed.

Well , it's the 4/10/24 and Harriet and i are off to the Insect Expo at Kyneton (Her 2nd Year) and unfortunately there been no action in the Egg Sac Department  ... i had a feeling this might happen , she's not sitting on it all the time now but stranger things have happened , you never know ... anyway if your at the Expo pop over and say hello  ... we are just inside the door to the left ..... see you there .
